Scholar Spread: Knowledge
The Scholar Archetype is the accumulator and curator of knowledge. It is neutral about the so-called rightness or wrongness of it; but rather the cataloguing of data, experience, people and objects it encounters during its path of existence.
This layout is gaining knowledge and classifying it into appropriate contexts. It is especially useful when one needs to learn something new, or at least new to you! This Spread suggests ways to invest yourself in the learning process in the most productive way.
Remember that learning means stumbling as you climb to a new peak of awareness Consternation and stubborn refusal to explore anew or go "one-step-further" is a natural reaction to coming upon a threshold of your ideas. Understanding will often require that old theories be abandoned in the presence of new facts. It can feel frightening, but learning is inevitable. In this life or another. Might as well take the leap by Choice, rather than trip and fall into it!
What is conveyed in this layout is the energy influencing your desired outcome. Ask wisely. Use the feedback wisely.
- Card 1. Essence Question - What are you seeking? What you don't know as yet? This is the unconscious theme operating beneath your question appears. Take into account this energy as it might change the form of your question. In which case, it might behoove make a new query with any revision that this card stimulates in your mind.
- Card 2. Personality Concern - Certain situational elements are always currently present in advance of an outcome. This card is a overview of that umbrella which augurs what happens.
- Card 3. Ego's Reaction - Like everywhere, Ego has a way of making itself inflated in order to try to protect you by controlling the situation. While thinking and acting with competence is always advised, forcing a conclusion based on Ego's desire to dominate, is something to be wary of accounted for.

Learning Facilitation - One does not have to avoid or break Ego's influence from Card 3, but awareness requires one to at least know what the hazard is and different strategies one might go to surmount it. Scholars like to know various options and or learning methods that can allow the Personality a means to achieve its' ends.
- Card 5. What is the Lesson? This card indicates or suggests the type or context of idea you are learning. If a Shadow pole is posted, the possible meaning of the outcome might benefit you but contain within it some residual effects you do not like but is an inevitable part of Physical Plane existence.
